Umbúntu is the first social environmental cultural kilombista project of the state of Rio Grande o Sul. It was this profoundly beautiful project we joined.

In our first month in Brazil, we had the chance to discover a new culture, meet inspiring people, and experience meaningful moments that changed our perspective on life.


From Capoeira class, Forró class, Maracatu class, and experiencingFrom the very first day, we felt welcomed by the warmth and openness of the amazing people that make Brazil. first-hand the energy and vitality of this project.

Here is my picture, while I do my presentation about my country, culture and discussing differences on living experiences with fellow volunteers of the project who comes from all around the world.
Our work varies for the project, from helping organize the food donation to the local community, helping with planting banana tree, cabbage, lettuce, zucchini; work the banana tree to obtain fiber that can be used as natural hair; ecological building, clay and wood etc.
