My adventure began in a small village in Bauska and now continues in the Kurzeme region of Latvia, in Ventspils, where I’ve been for a month. I’m working as a youth worker, living close to both the forest and the sea, an environment that motivates me to enjoy the moment, keep learning, grow, and create a positive impact.

I continue sharing Turkish culture and organizing games and activities for local youth, while also participating in events at schools and the university. We work with children from different backgrounds, which makes the experience even more meaningful and fulfilling.

I’ve continued collaborating with other volunteers in Latvia and started building stronger connections within a supportive and social environment. Thanks to this project, I recently met a writer and a translator through the Writers and Translators House in Ventspils, something that felt especially valuable considering my professional interests.

Currently, I’m helping prepare for an upcoming seaside festival, and in July I will assist a teacher during summer camp lessons. I’m also contributing a little to the volunteer selection process for future participants from Türkiye, helping with organizational tasks and occasional interviews.
