Selam dear reader, and welcome back to my Izmir report! Two months have passed since my last blog post, and a lot has happened. New workshops, new places, and new people have impacted my last weeks, and a more or less consistent daily life has evolved itself.
Hi, it’s me again, Helen from Germany. I am already in my fourth month here in Izmir, working with Pi Youth Association. It’s unbelievable how fast the time has passed and how much has happened. Let me summarize it for you:
It felt like yesterday that I wrote my last Blogpost- the days and weeks are passing by so fast. The past weeks have been exciting and challenging at the same time. For the first time in my life, I had food poisoning which was an unpleasant surprise. Especially because it happened two times in the past weeks so from now on I will be a little bit more careful.
We never really know what adaptation is. Every time we think we’ve finally got the key, we’re faced with new challenges that sometimes require us to overcome our own thought patterns and habits. But I love challenges!
Merhaba! My name is Manon, I am French and 22 years old. I recently completed my Bachelor’s degree in Design but wasn’t sure what to do next. That’s when I discovered the ESC program. I came across Pi Youth Association’s mission, and was drawn to their vision and goals, so I decided to apply.
Merhaba ! My name is Yann, I’m 23 years old, and I am from Rennes, France. For the past two months, I have been living an enriching and eye-opening experience as an Erasmus volunteer in Izmir, a city where modernity and tradition meet in harmony. After completing my master’s degree in marketing, I was eager to get involved in an international project, and Türkiye seemed like the perfect choice—a country that has fascinated me for a long time with its rich culture and warm-hearted people.
