During my project in Romania, I organize Turkish club workshops that create opportunities to explore the cultural richness of Türkiye together. I participate in various sports activities such as table tennis and badminton with both young and elderly people, creating a fun and active environment. Additionally, I support awareness events in schools by preparing presentations on global and environmental issues. Throughout this process, I have the chance to meet new people and gain different perspectives, attend regular Romanian language classes, and improve my English through communication with other volunteers. I also have the opportunity to travel to different countries, which allows me to discover new cultures and broaden my horizons.

This experience not only contributes to my personal development but also helps me realize the importance of creating a positive impact in the community. By interacting directly with children and young people, I get the chance to better understand their ways of thinking, interests, and curiosities. While introducing them to my own culture, I also learn about theirs, fostering an environment of mutual understanding and tolerance. These interactions significantly improve my ability to empathize and communicate across cultures.

Everything I’ve learned throughout this volunteering process is helping me become a more open-minded, patient, and conscious individual. With these experiences, I feel more confident about taking part in international projects, contributing to socially beneficial initiatives, and approaching life with a broader perspective. The time I’ve spent in Romania has become an unforgettable journey, filled with valuable memories and lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
