Our volunteer Selvinaz had an unforgettable and enriching time during her European Solidarity Corps experience in Poland. She supported English lessons at a local school, worked closely with students, and helped them improve their language skills. During the summer, she took an active role in cultural events, worked with different age groups, and contributed to their social and cultural development.

Before coming to Poland, Selvinaz had a few prejudices about the country, but her experience completely changed her perspective. She said, “I had some preconceptions about Poland, but everything changed once I arrived here. I love the place where I work and have made friends from different cultures. Thanks to volunteering, I’ve improved my language skills and discovered new places. Every day I learned and shared something new — this experience has been truly unique for me.”

Through volunteering, Selvinaz not only helped others but also developed herself, gained confidence, and learned about different cultures. Her story is an inspiring example for anyone who wants to meet new people, understand different cultures, and embark on a journey of self-discovery.

By reading stories like Selvinaz’s, you too can take the first step toward your own adventure through the European Solidarity Corps.
