Time flies, and it has now been almost seven months since I moved to Türkiye. After getting used to life in Izmir and exploring the southeastern part of the country, I had the opportunity to visit Istanbul at the end of February. This trip, along with other recent experiences, has once again shown me how diverse and multifaceted Türkiye is.
It’s time for another update on my life as an ESC volunteer in Izmir! The past weeks have been full of new experiences, deeper connections, and small but steady progress in different areas. As I continue to settle in, I feel more at home in this city, and my daily life keeps evolving in ways I wouldn’t have expected when I first arrived.

From June 17 to 25, 2024, young people from Hungary, Greece, Germany, Romania, Spain and Turkey gathered in Gánt, Hungary, for the Give Peace a Chance! youth exchange organized by our Hungarian partner, Együttható Egyesület, a program designed to bridge the gaps preventing youth from actively engaging in peace efforts.
